Theodore's Lair is a mod that aims to make Diablo 1 Hellfire great again.

The mod adds a larger difficulty increase between each difficulty, adds two new classes: The Cleric and The Bomoh, adds a new helpful NPC and a few new items.

We also host a gaming network, a new off-game trading system and a character database.

DevilutionX is a port of Diablo and Hellfire that strives to make it simple to run the game while providing engine improvements, bugfixes, and some optional quality of life features.

A mod is an unofficial extension. here is a good selection of mods for Diablo 1 and Diablo 1: Hellfire

DevilutionX hope to provide a good starting point for mods, in addition to the full Devilution source code they also provide modding tools.
